Christmas Morning

Christmas was busy for us this year. Mike and I spent Christmas Eve day finishing up the wrapping and making cookies with Robert for Santa. He thought that was great. He loves the mixer and especially likes tasting the cookie dough. That night we traveled to Spartanburg to visit with Barbara's side of the family. It was nice seeing extended family that we haven't seen since last year. Everyone of course loved holding the newest baby girl and Robert loved playing with toys and video games that we don't have at home. Christmas morning we actually had to wake Robert up because for the first time in his life he slept past 8am. Mike video taped Robert getting to see his John Deer tractor from Santa. He loved it and wanted to ride it immediately. He also got Elmo Live from his Grammy Glenn. Mike and I also got him a new Sesame Street DVD and a tool box. Aubrey mostly got clothes and Robert loved opening all her gifts. I am sure that won't happen next year. Late that morning we headed off to start visiting family. We had lunch with Mike's Aunt Laura and his grandparents. Then we headed to Simpsonville to see my extended family and from there we went back to Spartanburg to have Christmas is Barbara and Lindsey. Robert got a train from his Mimi Bryan. He LOVED that too. Over all we had a wonderful time. We were both ready to be lazy and play with toys the next day.
